Brachioplasty

Brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, is a surgical procedure designed to reshape and tone the upper arms, removing excess skin and fat to achieve a firmer, more youthful contour. This cosmetic intervention is especially popular among those who have experienced significant weight loss or who wish to improve the appearance of their arms.

Brachioplasty Process:

The process begins with an initial consultation between the patient and the plastic surgeon, where the patient’s aesthetic goals are discussed and her/his medical history is evaluated. During this consultation, the plastic surgeon performs a detailed evaluation of the skin and tissue of the arms to determine the amount of skin and fat that will be removed during the procedure.

Once the decision is made to proceed with Brachioplasty, the surgery is scheduled at an accredited surgical center. During surgery, general or local anesthesia with sedation is administered, depending on the patient’s individual needs and the extent of the procedure.

Once removal of excess skin and fat is complete, the incisions are closed with sutures and compression bandages are applied to minimize swelling and promote proper healing. The patient is closely monitored during the recovery period to ensure a safe and complication-free recovery.

The plastic surgeon makes strategic incisions on the inside of the arms, along the natural folds, to minimize the visibility of scars. Through these incisions, excess skin and fat is removed, and the underlying tissue is reshaped to achieve a firmer, more toned contour.
